Awesome place! Might be little bias, I got engaged here at sunset back in February! We happened to randomly stumble on this place looking for somewhere to watch the sunset (or so I thought). Drinks were great, very laid back, but fun atmosphere.

Great place to have a drink and watch the sun going down over the mountain range..

Wonderful views! 21 & up only. One drink minimum. Definitely a must!!!

Excellent coffee and the boss lady Allessa is super kind and friendly. She is amazing and gorgeous and I love her sooo much! :)

We had a delicious breakfast here.

Lovely place for a cup of coffee or tea. The best place to sit are window seats. Can't wait to go back again.

A long time ago when I was first getting into coffee, one of the baristas suggested I try a honey latte. It's good hot or iced, but I tend to get it iced. It was the best recommendation and it's my go to drink at this place. This is my personal favorite local coffee shop in Asheville.

I was told this place was special and it kinda is. You enter like an old office block and press the bell to get the lift guy to come down in an old lift who then takes you up to roof almost. There they serve you beers while you chill in the sun until the sun goes down which is when it gets really nice. Great experience.

Best view in Asheville!

Views were incredible and the elevator ride up added to the experience. Only reason for a 4 was the whisky sour was SOUR and the drinks were expensive. Go for the views and the atmosphere!

Skybar is elegant, thrilling and comfortable. Please folks, have some class and tip your elevator operator.

Absolutely gorgeous place, one of my favorite bars in Asheville! Every employee is amazing and the drinks are awesome

The view is amazing. Just be prepared to get close to folks at sunset.

Great treats and good coffee! Popular place for pipe smokers outside so it gets a little stinky :-/

Great view and stellar drinks. Definitely a great spot as either a local or a visitor.

Great location and views from the terrace.

Ordered the cafe aulait. I'm not a big coffee person, but I enjoyed it. The menu was very helpful in that it visually broke down the milk/coffee/espresso makeup of each drink.

Awesome bar on two balconies! The whole experience is exceptional, including the old school elevator ride. The drink selection is great. One cool feature on the menu is an IPA that Highland Brewing actually makes specifically for the venue. A recommendation, if you want a front row view for the sunset, you'll probably need to get there an hour before the sun sets and not leave your table. You can't beat the views at really any time of the day though!

The coffee was so good! The beans weren't burnt and the coffee was strong and smooth.

I have only visited the SkyBar twice, but both have been enjoyable experiences. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I enjoy going up in sort of an old-timey elevator. It's definitely unique. There is an excellent view of the mountains. The only potential issue is that there aren't many tables due to a limited space on each level, so if it's crowded you may end up having to stand or waiting for a table to open up. Each time I went we were lucky to find a table right away.

If you're visiting downtown Asheville in the evening, this place is a must see! You take a ride up to the 8th floor on an elevator in a building built in 1927. The seating space is limited but the views of the mountains are amazing! Bring your sunglasses for a beautiful sunset on a non-cloudy evening. The servers are very nice and knowledgeable on the downtown buildings you see. The drinks are a bit pricey but I think the view is worth the money for a drink or two of their well crafted cocktails and craft beers!

These are my people! I used to come in every single morning on weekdays when I had an office in the Flat Iron Building downtown (I included a pic of the view from said office just cause I miss it!); and then on weekends I would come in for a casual new date or just to hang and have some tea with friends. I love the historic art on the walls near the coffee shop. There are separate rooms where you can have a business meeting if that's what you are looking for as well. They have large windows for people watching in perhaps the best spot to people watch in Asheville: Battery Park Avenue. The coffee shop is at the bottom of the Flat Iron Building, which was in fact built and named after the Flat Iron in NYC - it was constructed by the same architect. I love thinking of this part of Asheville as a "mini NYC" with a different kind of flavor. A lot of the old school locals and businesspeople hang out in front of the building and chat. It's the perfect vibe here.

The hot chocolate is really good -- just be prepared to wait. Both times I've been it's taken at least 10 minutes to get my drink.

If you love coffee and sweets this is a must stop for you.

Best view from an Asheville bar by far! Can't get anything like it anywhere else

Pleasant and quick service despite there only being 1 barista for a line out the door. Good hot drinks and service.

It may be a bit of a wait but it was so fun to ride up the old elevator and take photos of the beautiful scenery!

Stopped by for caffeine while waiting for another shop down the street to open. Had a lavender chai latte omg it was divine ðŸ˜âœ¨ðŸ’– my only regret was not getting the largest size lol. Perfectly sweet with the right amount of heat to sip it even in the hot sun. The inside is gorgeous too ðŸ˜. I forgot I’ve been in here before but I forgot all the beautiful hand carved wooden items and other beautiful decor 💗 I was disappointed with the pastries, I was open to a sweet treat but no cupcakes or cake slices 😕 still 5 stars for the drinks and decor, I’ll definitely be back!

This is a great place to enjoy a drink and a nice sunset. My wife friends and I had some great drinks with great service

Very cool bar. Excellent view and interesting setup on the side of a building

Neat decorations, plenty of seating, and great coffee. This is a typical coffee shop for the area, with the usual drink and snack options. The espresso is pretty good and not too expensive. The chai latte is also tasty. Nothing too unusual. Would go again.

Awesome delicious cocktails! Great view of the city.

The view was amazing and the elevator going up was any old timey type where there was a elevator man to take you up. It was petty cool.
Nathaniel Ellis
The rooftop sky cafe was closed on weekdays. Otherwise it was very good, eclectic place, loved the masks. Wish I would have played the piano I the back!

Nice view, friendly staff, a must visit place if you're looking for chill place to hang out and relax.
Courtney Taylor
Cute and chill atmosphere. Standard options. Interesting menu to read but explains the breakdown of each drink. Staff are knowledgeable and creative when I threw a personal request at them they could have been a little more friendly, however.

Skybar is literally a bar on the top floors of a building on the fire escapes. The view is amazing of the mountains and city, but it's on a fire escape so it's tiny. You can sit inside by a window, but it's not really the same. It might sound weird, but it's amazing. There's music on weekend nights and the prices aren't horrible.
Adam Miller
Very enjoyable experience! Great views!
Damien Robinson
Love this place. Great coffee and teas. Pastries are great! Not too sweet but tasty.
William Hall
Great place. Loved the building this shop was in.
Devon Prevost
This eclectically decorated little shop fulfilled my needs to have a snack and tea. There were very unique designs of art, architecture, and decor. I felt slightly disoriented by it all, but it had its charm. There were no vegan or gluten free food options as far as I could tell from my visit, which wasn't too much before closing, so that could have affected choices. I felt their pastries were processed and not fresh baked. They had a nice selection of loose leaf teas that I truly enjoyed.Seems there was some kind of music room in the back, but no signs letting us know if it was a public space.Window and outdoor seating is a plus if you like people watching.
Tony Basini
Excellent Sunset view! Specialty drinks. It is basically on the fire escape, so it is a little cramped.
Ashley Wyatt
Great coffee, nice relaxing atmosphere to read a book or get some work done. In the past, the barista hasn't been too friendly but there was a different one this time and she was very nice. Very convenient downtown location as well :)
John Dinyari
Fun happy place. A joy to share with funky friends

Delicious drinks and gorgeous views!! Tad bit pricey and no shade on a hot day if you're on the balconies. They do have an indoor lounge area though (limited seating in there)! Awesome service!
